I'd gotten back in about six weeks before that announcement, and I'm thrilled with it :D

Pandarens and pokemon pets, here I come!

(Though I still maintain that "Pandaria" is a stupid name for a continent/island/whatever, especially based on the naming style of the locations in it... but whatever.)

I quit playing right before Cataclysm was released, although I did run a few instances about a month ago on my friend's toon and enjoyed.

Wait, Pokemon battle system? I must have missed something. Can someone please explain this to me D: I know about the Panderans and the monk class, but are they changing the battle system or something?

No. Basically, vanity pets will have battle capabilities against those of other players. It will work a lot like Pokémon in that they have four attacks each, level up the same way, etc. On top of that you can now "catch" other critters in the wild.

I am excited for Wowemon. I just hit 130 pets and am well on my way to 150... gotta catch em all! Aww yeah. Trying to decide which pet will be my Pikachu is hard, tho. I'm leaning toward Mr. Grubbs or Disgusting Oozeling. I can just imagine them saying their own names in a high pitch squeal. GRUBBS GRUBBS! OOOOOZE OOOZE.

I thought Blizzard was trolling with the pokemon thing. But the more I think about it, the more I like it.

Honestly though, compared to all the other expansions it seems boring as crap. Even Cataclysm was kinda pushing yawnfest when I first saw the trailer, though the new quest zones and Vashir redeemed it. Where's my god damn Emerald Dream expansion already!

Pretty sure most people didn't, actually. It's just the loudest complainers that get noticed the most. The people who really love the expansion aren't really out there being as vocal about it as the naysayers.

I've been warming up to the idea somewhat, mostly because I've always wanted a monk class, and now, VOILA.

That said, I don't know if I'll be playing MoP. I've been kind of "eh" at WoW for a while, and this didn't really make me feel any less "eh." Just more "well, we'll see if I have time for two MMOs when SWTOR comes out." Because homg Star Wars.

I resubbed a bit before Blizzcon for completely unrelated reasons. I only meant to play till the end of the year, but dammit Blizz found my weakspot. I effing love pandas and wanted to play a Pandaren since I heard of them way back when. >_< *shakes fist at Blizz* I'm interested in the pet battle system too. Finally a use for my pets besides looking pretty and forgetting to dismiss them in PvP... (rogue ha!). I'll probably use it to kill time waiting between queues. I'm more happy to hear about their plans to make pets account bound and if it goes well same for mounts (fuck yeah!). And transmogrification in 4.3 was a happy bonus.

Dammit WoW, I hate you sometimes... :P

I never unsubscribed, but I am with you. Haters gonna Hate, but Pandaria is gonna own. And yes, I will take my Panda Monk to the Sand Gym in Tanaris to get my Battle Pet Badge, and I will LOVE IT.

I might not update, but I've been moving away from the game for most of the last year. Mostly just log in to play long-distance with my nephew.

It certainly tempted me to come back, but no. I am done for good. If somehow I could use it in Steam Trading, I would trade it away in a heartbeat, all 1000+ hours I've sunk into it.
