Anon, I don't really know the fandom, but I felt the need to chip in anyway:

I cut myself for a long time, and am still working through it. My scars are mostly on my knees, some on my thighs. I mention this because I had those scars when I met my girlfriend, and they had absolutely no bearing on our sex life. I sub a lot (sorry if that's TMI for some people) and, again - no bearing on her willingness to help me experiment with it.

I know it can suck to be scarred. But there are plenty of people out there who won't judge you for it, and who will be totally happy to move past them and let you work out your sexual tastes regardless - particularly if you're open about how you got them and that (I assume) they weren't got through kinky funtiems gone wrong.

Not the OP but glad to hear this. My cutting wasn't that extreme but it was enough to leave scars and I'm always worried no one will ever want to see my sexually.

One of the nicest things my girlfriend ever did for me (after a throwaway comment I made watching Gangs of New York) was to just kiss my scars. All of them. I damn near cried.

And the same goes to you as to the OP; it takes a pretty shallow person to be put off you by a few scars, and most people are better than that. I'm sure there will be plenty of people who won't think twice about them.

The fandom is the movie Secretary; there's been a lot of secrets lately about that movie for some reason.

I thought it was, but I wasn't sure, and anyway I didn't want to comment on it - I started watching it once but honestly wasn't that attracted to it, so I never got more than about half an hour in. It was a long time ago, though; I've been wondering lately if I should give it another try.
