And when they find out the actor isn't straight, it colours their perception of the actor - they no longer see the actor as a normal person with talent and an engaging personality, they see them as a Gay Person. Like, their sexuality becomes their defining characteristic.
Honestly, OP, it sounds like you do have some kind of problem with sexuality, even if you make an effort to be liberal. It might just be buried deep, and it could be a good idea to explore it and figure out why you feel like that. Because while you may be feeling that way about actors now, in the future it might be somebody you care about that you discover is gay. And if you react the same way, if it colours how you see them, then they could notice that and end up being incredibly hurt.
