If they've been engaged for a year and it hasn't even come up once in discussion? It definitely seems to me like OP is hiding it on purpose. Which is the part of this secret that concerns me, not the smut itself.

why would it even just come up in conversation? what kind of lead in would that discussion have?

Oh, idk, "What do you like to do in your spare time"?

It just seems weird that it wouldn't have come up at all - for me to not have shared one of my hobbies with an SO after so much time, I would have to at least feel like I'm actively hiding it.

Of course, OP might be different. She might just...not talk a lot. Or have a higher requirement for privacy. It just seems odd to me...
