Yeah... in FAN FICS... but you seem to forget the point of the poster's secret-- Two males can be close friends without being gay. Two males can have a history of bickering and disagreements without being gay. HOLY CRAP!!
Meanwhile, those crazy fangirls assume they really are "Teh ghey." Hence their general lacking of a sense of reality.
