Tell me about it. My two favorite fandoms at the moment are Lonely Werewolf Girl and Moon Over Soho and there is nothing for them. Its sad when great books only get small fandoms.

I haven't read that book, but I had a similar experience a few days ago: decided to pick up a show that's been recommended countless times by non-fandom goers, and I can't find a fandom for it anywhere. It's ridiculous how sad this makes me, too. :(

I always seem to end up in the big fandoms, and when I do love something smaller I hate to find the lack of fans. D:

I've gone from shipping mainstream pairings in larger fandoms to tiny or non-existing fandoms and yeah, it does highlight how much the fandom experience matter.

I wish my current love had a much bigger fandom, woe :(

Relating so much, Anon. I've just become invested in a book series and have been writing fic for it non stop. Though the series itself I would consider a little more 'mainstream', there seems to be no fandom on LJ for it. The best I've come across for fandom stuff is some discussion on GoodReads and FF.Net and a few book reviews here and there, but I'm so stubborn with my LJ that I wish that there was a group here because I like the atmosphere and vibe LJ provides.

In b4: Why don't you just create group yourself? Because I don't think I'd be up to the task of playing mod, and I'm afraid no one else would join.

FWIW, I'd be all over fic for these books. I've only read the first one - but only because I liked it enough that it makes me want to draw out the wait a bit before jumping into the second and being left with nothing new.
