John/Rodney is, Ronon/Keller might be kind of popular (I'm not too sure), and I don't think Teyla/Weir is very popular at all (but it should be)

Ronon/Keller is by far the most popular Keller-related pairing. I think people who support Ronon/Keller feel it makes sense.

Yeah, McKay/Keller seems to be the most popular SGA pairing at FF.net. (This gen fan is squicked by McKay/Keller but thought Jennifer/Ronon had real non-squicky promise, so.)

Second: most the people I know in this fandom try to forget Keller existed, and ship Teyla with Ronon, so...

As someone who really loves John/Rodney and Jack/Sam but really dislikes Jack/Daniel and John/Elizabeth, I feel your pain. They're not that hard to avoid assuming they're properly labeled, but the number of people who seem to think that if you like one you must like the other can get frustrating.

it IS pretty rare for people to ship sam/jack AND mcshep. usually mcshep people ship jack/daniel and sam/jack fans ship john/elizabeth, isn't it.

EXACTLY, which isn't always true! Jack/Sam will always be my OTP, I love McShep, and Jack/Daniel just feels WRONG...

I'm pretty much a Jack/everyone BUT Daniel and a John/anyone BUT Rodney and I have a hard time finding slash fics featuring Jack or John (and sometimes Jack/John) that don't at least mention Jack/Daniel or John/Rodney in some way.

Do you read John/Cam? It's a relatively good-sized pairing and IME most people who write it really don't like John/Rodney.

The only Jack slash pairings I like are Jack/Teal'c and Jack/Maybourne. My life is hard.

I actually don't like John/Cam because Cam doesn't hold my interest-he doesn't have enough angst for me.

Jack/Teal'c is my favorite Jack pairing. &hearts That scene in Lost City in my icon is my favorite scene in the entire series.

Jack/Maybourne is one of my guilty pleasure pairings. In my head canon they were involved while both were in Spec Ops (even though it's not clear in the show that Harry was I think he was) and Harry still harbors resentment for Jack leaving him for Sara. And they meet randomly over the whole series for one-night encounters that got less and less about hate and more about mutual respect as the season progresses. And they totally did it in It's Good to Be King.

I actually liked the idea of John/Cam but the amount of Rodney bashing from that corner of fandom made me dislike it. The same goes for John/Elizabeth.

Why can't we live in peace. :D

Same here. But usually I don't like it when there's more than one pairing in a fic. Seems like they lose focus then.

Not in your fandom, but I get what you mean. I'm pretty monoshippy, but I like a lot of pairings because my fandom has such a huge cast. My OTP is a very popular ship, and that's great. However, a lot of people also really dislike it.

I WANT to read fics for other pairings I like, but in a huge majority of them that have other pairings on the side, it's a pairing that breaks up my OTP and I just... can't do it.

Oh, you poor thing, you! It must be so hard for you, shipping McShep, Sam/Jack and Keller/Ronon. How on Earth do you ever find any fic at all for these unpopular pairings?!

Your sarcasm, I love it. Considering the Stargate newsletter has an entire section JUST for McShep, I find it funny that the OP is complaining about it. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't take a lot of effort to find a McShep fic WITHOUT an undesirable secondary pairing in it.

Then again, I actually like McKay/Keller and John/Elizabeth, which seems to draw a moderate amount of ire from the Atlantis fandom. Especially McKay/Keller (sorry, I actually thought their relationship was sweet, if admittedly a little rushed).

They mean together, anon. If it's McShep fic, it's usually Jack/Daniel. If it's Sam/Jack then it's mostly John/Elizabeth.
