Well, you know it exists, and I really can't imagine it'd be THAT hard to avoid. It's not like you tend to see drawings of kids boning in normal places. Why let that ruin the chance at enjoying something?

This. I've never seen fandoms that don't tend to have separate comms for shipping/fic and meta/discussion. Just... don't join shipping comms?

Now I'm sure there's bound to be some crossover between the two types of things, but if they're not aging the characters up, there should be enough warnings on the post for you to scroll on by and not have to read it.

It's not always a matter of "don't like, don't read".

It's also a matter of "I don't like knowing pedophiles use the things I also like to fuel out their sick fantasies" and "I don't want to be associated with a fandom with pedophiles in it"
