My thoughts exactly. The things the OP listed weren't my problems with the game. My problems with the game were: how short the gameplay sequences were, how many scenes needed a good snipping of the editor scissors, how many of the supernatural elements were explained away with "lol it was the nanomachines", etc.

Trufax: there were several cutscenes during which I checked my watch and wondered aloud how many times a character was going to repeat something they'd already said. Especially the weapons trader dude and his monkey.

Show, don't tell is something Kojima is never going to master, it seems.
