And if I'm not mistaken, in the original shooting script for Enemies, they were supposed to kiss on the lips, but it got axed for being too homoerotic.

So? I don't see why there's any obligation to like canon more than subtext (Especially when canon includes Willow/Kennedy, amirite?). And I don't think there's anything wrong with being more interested in dysfunctional pairings.

How are they "supposed" to be your ship? I dunno, I feel like you shouldn't have to adopt pairings just because it meets your own lifestyle. I don't think you should feel bad about shipping something else. I know I am saying this from a position of privilege but it'd be like me feeling bad for shipping a non-canon het pairing instead of an actual canon het pairing. Nobody ever seems to have a problem with subtext when it's a man and a woman who weren't a canon pairing. IMO it shouldn't be a problem when it comes to f/f and m/m pairings either.

Nah, I agree, though I assume the OP was talking about societal pressure to "support" the ship that's present in the text for the sake of visibility. I'm bi, and I didn't much care about Willow/Tara- though that had a lot to do with me just not being a Willow fan. Now, Darla/Drusilla... mmmm.

Queen Sebastian, whose new husband was already boring the shit out of his pampered ass, found something new to focus his wrath on.

The absent's King's son, that milquetoast called Kurt, with his sunny disposition, his shitty singing with his shitty bird and other woodland creatures, and his untampered-with-ass in his padded silk balloon shorts. What Sebastian hated most of all were Kurt's babby teeth, his turned up nose, and those lips that looked perfect for cock sucking but still hadn't gone there.

The last straw was Blaine, a princeling from a neighboring kingdom showing up, and paying tribute to Kurt. Not Sebastian, who he regarded as a mere concubine.

Queen Sebastian gave his loyal huntsman, the fearsome Karofsky, the order to take Kurt out into the woods, cut him up slowly then string him up from a tree, and bring him back the boy's skin.

Faith/Buffy is the only femslahs i've ever written, 'cause it *rocks*. Willow, frankly, was a horrifying person and Tara deserved better. Not hard to see why someone would prefer one over the other.

...sounds like somebody saw the end of the show before the early seasons. If they saw the early seasons at all. If Willow had just been "a horrifying person" instead of someone you'd seen for years through all kinds of personal development as a wonderful, deeply caring person then her tragic flaw playing out wouldn't have been nearly so painful to watch.
