I don't know why people like to mention when secrets here come from tumblr

maybe they felt like crossposting. or maybe someone else wanted to post it to see what conversation it would generate. I don't see why we should care whether it's been posted somewhere else first

Secrets...aka tumblr confessions like that in that format are soley a tumblr thing from what I've seen. All the confessions on various blogs have the same format.....a picture, black text with white text over it, and usually over the subject's eyes. So it just bugs me to see them over here. To me, they aren't 'fandom secrets.' Fandom secrets came first for me. I rather them be separate. Fandom secrets look better than Tumblr Confessions imo.

omg are you really some kind of "fandom secret" elitist, because that is hilarious

and they're still secrets about fandom...ergo they are fandom secrets

and I don't think there is really a uniform way that fandom secrets are made so that they can really be said to "look better". A lot of secrets here are made pretty shitty and on most days you can find people bitching about how the color schemes are terrible, the font's blurry, the text is too small, there's too much text, etc

Far from a FS elitist. In my opinion, the format of tumblr secrets look horrible. Hell, the secrets made in paint on here look better in my opinion. And you're right, there isn't a uniform way for secrets in FS...unlike tumblr which is why tumblr confessions are easy to spot.

I used to hate watching the Sailor Moon intro for this very reason. It was all cutesy, and bubbly, and "she'll always be there for her friiiieeeends!" then BAM! SCARY FACE!!
