It has always been my headcanon that once Lizzie is married, Mary get's invited more and more often to visit the Colinses and keep Charlotte company. Without the constant shadow of her sisters she gets more confident and less insufferable.

Then she meets Anne. They are besotted with each other. Eventually, when Anne comes into her money they tour the continent together fighting crime and eventually set up house together somewhere. )Possibly in Llagollen).

Hallo there OP. Meant to say, but hit enter before I remembered, that I hadn't considered Georgiana/Anne, but your ideas intrigue me. And now I'm wondering if I don't want her to tag along for the crime fighting too.

Georgiana and Anne are the two secondary characters in P&P that fascinate me the most, so I guess it was natural for me to think about them interacting. Also, I once read an interesting article about the parallelism of their characters (this one --> http://austenette.wordpress.com/2008/09/24/anne-de-bourgh-and-georgiana-darcy/ ) that somehow made me ship them even more. What the author says about both of them seeming "suppressed" (even if movie!Georgiana came out as different) makes me want them to become friends on accounts of their similar personalities and then grow out of their shyness and insecurities together ♥

I ADORE Georgiana Darcy. She's one of my favorite characters in P&P and I love her so much. Anne is wonderful too, but I've always cared about Georgiana.
