Speaking for myself, I absolutely love the endless potential for denial/comfort plots with these two. Cid and Vincent are easily the only "real" slash pairing I support. I love writing them, drawing them, talking about them, oh it's such an obsession! I joke that my Playarts Vincent figure was still holding out for his Cid, which I'm pretty sure we'll never get. *sadface*

I can see Cloud and Vincent having a more father/son kind of relationship since Cloud desperately needs paternal guidance and Vincent has that kind of aura about him. I could see Cloud coming to Vincent for advice, even though Vincent would declare himself the last person anyone should come to, but then cave and offer up as much support as possible.

But that's just me. Ship what you like. :3
