I think he was hot as Loki, but not in real life. I actually feel this way about quite a lot of actors who play not-quite-human fantasy/sci-fi/speculative fiction characters.

Kind of hit and miss, honestly. I think he generally looks better as Loki, but there are quite a few pictures of just him the actor where I think he's good looking. Just a lot of the time he's also kind of creepy looking, I don't know why.

But never good looking with the beard.

I hear ya, fellow anon. At least for me, I think it might be a hair thing? When it's dark it looks best Loki-straight, and when it's blond it looks best with the curlapalooza. And overall it's just better when he smiles.

But I totally agree with you on the beard.

Yep, same. I looove him as Loki, but he's meh looking otherwise. It's weird. Probably because light and angles were working in his favour in the movie, I just cannot think of a better explanation. He looks very different as Loki :S
