I can see Cid/Vincent because... well... they kinda make no sense at all. XD They'd be the kind of couple where... Cid would bitch and moan and generally make noise non-stop, and Vincent would listen quietly and almost never switch those roles around. They'd be the kind of couple that NOBODY that just met them would understand. I mean, honestly, I think it's more in-character for Vincent than Cid, but I don't think either of their characters would be completely broken by it...
... Having said that, I'm fairly certain it's not really something that could EVER happen, if only because I can't imagine that the development beyond canon that would make this work are at all what the character designers and writers had in mind for their personalities. It's so beyond the scope of canon that all I can do is look on from a distance and consider what they COULD be, given the right nudges.
