Thank you for all of this! I'll definitely check out the blog. I haven't looked for any new bands (Japanese or otherwise) for quite a long time and aaah I'm glad this thread sparked something in me to go looking again.

I'm really liking the jazz/bossa nova fare you've linked even though I'm not too familiar with it. Although now that I think about it, it really shouldn't even be a surprise since I like Takako Minekawa (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=57LboHngkn4) and Capsule (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6Yw07AKCiE)'s earlier stuff, which had that bossa nova rhythm to it.

I wish I could contribute more artists here but I'm lacking knowledge when it comes to the Japanese music industry. ;o; I could recommend... idk, Polysics (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzcT2XDg4Wg)? XD They seem very popular already. (Still pretty boss though!)
