I don't really see either of them as a couple. I've always gotten the impression that Cid and Shera ended up as a thing, and Vincent canonically can not get over Lucretia. Furthermore, despite his youthful looks, Vincent is older than Sephiroth, which means he's also much older than Cloud. What would they have in common besides their inability to get over the dead women in their lives?
