I don't know this series, but as someone who has known people who've struggled because they were disowned by their parents...yeah, I find that particular action unforgivable. I hope that whoever this girl is finds closure without the show trying to fit her and her parents into some happy family mold (it is possible, you know.)

I agree. I want Annie's parents to see how much she's grown as a person, and for her to able to move on. I'm not as worried about Jeff, for some reason. Maybe's just because I'm more of an Annie fan, IDK.

Agreed. Her parents are horrible people, and I want her to succeed on her own terms.

I didn't realise people actually wanted Jeff to be reunited with his dad. Considering how the only times we see Jeff actually come close to going to pieces tend to revolve around his father, I really don't want to see him force his way back into Jeff's life. I know fandom (all fandoms) love to see the 'cool' character woobiefied, but Jeff's reactions never seem typical woobie to me - they seem to come from a place of genuinely unstable anger and repressed pain. Unless they dial that back a LOT, I don't think a fun comedy show is the place to be dealing with those issues. I mean, Pierce's scenes with his father were ridiculous and funny because Pierce is laughable and a bigot with an even bigger bigot for a father, and we could all point and mock them. What we know of Jeff and how he reacts to talk of his father just seems like there wouldn't be much comedy in a potential reunion, you know?

I know exactly what you mean and I agree. I don't wanna see it happen for woobie-Jeff reasons. I pretty much only started wanting them to bring in Jeff's dad because Harmon's said that IF he was, the only person he's got in mind for the job is Bill Murray.

I actually never thought of that, but I completely agree. Her parents sounded like dicks from how she described them, and so I like that she's found a family of her own. But still, closure would be nice, and it would also be nice for them to turn out not to be douchebags.

I don't think the problem there is Annie. I think the problem there is Annie's parents, and she's probably better off without their input.
