Mark is a blogger who I got into by reading his "Mark Reads Harry Potter" series, where he read Harry Potter, and blogged about it. <3

For me, it's just gotten so old. His writing doesn't seem to be evolving or developing in any way. We just get more of the same. And it seems like most of the entries anymore are keyboard smashing insanity or long in-depth looks at his personal life which, sorry, I don't care about.

This. There's nothing wrong with writing about yourself, but I don't really like that in the context of reviewing stuff.

I go in wanting to read his opinions about the books, not about his childhood or his borderline fanfic-esque chapter readings.

So far I've been unable to read a whole book of his reviews. His style is wildly inconsistent, for all that it remains roughly the same in quality, and it is annoying to stick to it for more than 3 or 4 chapters in a row.

I think he's a really fun fannish reviewer, and watching Doctor Who and reading his blog was really enjoyable, but what worries me is that apparently he's writing a book now. I just don't think he's talented enough to pull it off.
