I really loved her in Space Jam too, OP. And now I totally get the reasons people don't like her, but part of me still feels a bit sad about it. (And still loves her a little.)

She was hated 'cos she was the Token Chick. Looney Tunes are loud and wacky and funny and they're just glorious chaos. The "Straight Man" archetype doesn't really belong there.

Plus there's that sexualized furry element. The belly shirt in that pic? Even as a kid I found that off-putting, and I find it even more so now.

Though at least it answered my question of what Roger & Jessica Rabbit's child would look like.

I liked her in Space Jam too; she was one of my favourites! I get the hate, but meh. I liked her.

She was always my favorite in Space Jam too, mainly because "omg a GIRL character yaaaayyyy" and the girl characters were always my favorites in anything ever. I had no idea that she was hated, what. :(

I liked her more in Space Jam than in the new tv show; I like that they actually included her and tried to make her wacky and stuff, but now she's a crazy dipshit/stalker and it's not amusing. :/

This. I actually liked her more when she was in the movie and was just a spoof of Barb Wire.

Does she get in the way of Bugs/Daffy slash?

Funny, I like reading dirty talk in fics (nothing the level of badly written tweenage fic dirty talk though) but I see more of the author doing the descriptions rather than the characters doing it to each other.

I thought she was too fucking needless and forced addition. Just there to give Bugs ~romance~ and save her.

I liked her in Space Jam simply because she was a girl, but at the same time I didn't like her because she wasn't goofy like all the others. As an adult, I feel mostly the latter. I don't hate her though.

I think I liked her. It was nice to have a girl. I just remember being awed that Michael Jordan was doing a kids movie. I think I was pretty big on basketball at the time. Man, how things have changed.

When I watched Space Jam for the firt time I thought, "Token chick!" But I kept my opinions to myself because I thought everyone else was ok with it. Why else was there so much of it everywhere? Every hero in every movie had to have one to rescue and "get" at the end. I always thought I was the odd one for having a problem with these things.

I'm glad a lot of my feeling are validated now.

Aaaw I loved her in Space Jam. I was all "yay a girl character!! :D :D :D" and kid-me never registered bugs was after her. I even thought she turned him down which made her cooler? Or was that my kid-head-cannon.

I hated her because she wasn't funny.

I just liked that her ears were her hair, or something like that.

I haven't seen her in the new show, but she was my favorite in Space Jam, both because she was a girl character and because she played the "straight man" archetype.

I had no idea she was hated until now and that makes me sad. Sure, she's not really like all the other Looney Toons characters, but that's why I liked her. She was my favorite, too, along with some of the classic characters (Daffy, Yosemite Sam, Wil-E Coyote, and Speedy Gonzales [inb4 "omg racist"])

she's still one of my favorites and hearing how much hate that version of her gets makes me really sad.

and irritated. but mostly sad.

I thought she was SO COOL. I wish they'd spent more time on her character, but little me was just thrilled that there was finally a girl Looney Tune - and a badass one at that.
