The worst is IMO the classism that comes about with The Girl in the Fireplace, when some people are like "OH Reinette is so much more suited for The Doctor" and it gets into Rose's background. So a woman who the Doctor knows for literally half an hour his time is OK, but a woman that the Doctor has known for over a year at that point is bad.

Yeah everyone who hates on her does seem to bring up the 'chav' thing a lot. It's kind of a sad stereotype here in Britain where apparently everyone who lives in a council flat is supposedly an unemployed, selfish waster....even through the only reason Rose became unemployed was because the Doctor blew up her job! :P

lol yes, Reinette is better suited to him because she's educated and high-class, not like that stupid chav Rose! I don't have issue with Reinette as a person but I always lol when people complain about how Rose isn't "worthy" or "good enough" for the Doctor because she's young and a "chav". Never mind that she has a good heart, or that her humanity grounds him, or that love isn't about finding someone with the shiniest resume, Rose doesn't have any A-levels!

EVERY TIME SOMEONE CALLS ROSE A CHAV I WANT TO SAY VERY MEAN THINGS TO THEM. SO FUCKING CLASSIST. Chav has a specific meaning having to do with rude behavior and to call Rose a chav just because she's working class? SA;LKDFJL;SDKJFD;SLKJFDSLK;J STOP IT, FANDOM.
