:U - LiveJournal is tons better than FanFiction.Net. I don't know how you guys stand all that 12-years-old riff-raff posting their crappy Mary Sue Self-Inserts.

:V - You jerk, that's not true at all! I've read tons of crappy LiveJournal fanfictions.

:U - Bullshit! There are way less bad!fics in LiveJournal, and you have to go out of your way to find them. FanFiction.Net is a clusterfuck in a sea of mediocrity and you have to dig for hours to find a decent story.

:V - Yeah, well, having everything in one place actually helps you find the good stories right away, instead of searching through incomplete, poorly maintained recommendation lists to find one or two good authors. You moron.

(I generally never understand how some people appearently don't want you to read their storys. Like, "Wow, it's really awesome. If you just had posted it in some kind of archive I would have found it years ago..." or "If you had taken like 2 minutes to tag this, I would not just have found this by chance...".

It baffles me as well. I think that fandom in general needs more archivists, to put everything together via links, or something. More organization and distribution, plz!!
