Yeah, I was wondering about that too. I've lost 30lbs and gone down only one or two sizes, depending on the brand.

US sizing I'm sure, and it depends on how the OP is counting down. Pants (jeans? trousers? whatever term you want to describe them as) go in even numbers. So if you go from size 12 to size 10, is that counted as one dress size or two? I bet the OP is counting it as two instead of one.

Myself, I've lost 33# in less than a year and have gone from size 12 to practically a 0 (depending on clothing brand which is beyond annoying). So I can see the OP counting 10 dress sizes from the weight loss. (It it's a true secret which I can't figure out who is a troll anyway).

Agreed. I lost 17 pounds and went from a size 8-10 to a size 4. If you use subtraction that makes 4-6 sizes. But I count it as 2-3.

The OP might be counting something like "from 12 to 10" as losing two sizes.

Still, I call troll on that one - ten sizes for forty pounds?! I used to wear size 16/loose 18-ish, but after losing 80+ lbs, I'm down to a 6. That's "ten sizes" right there. have a hard time believing that, unless she was already rather slender or had a certain build for it, that she could have gone down that many sizes within forty pounds. :V

Well, if she's replacing a lot of fat with muscle, it could happen. Maybe. Or she's switched to different brands of clothes that have different size numbers (seriously, one brand of clothing's 0 is another's 4)
