Eh, you'll find a corner of fandom that hates any of the characters if you look hard enough. The majority of the LJ fandom that I've seen is generally really wonderful and loving to all the characters, though!

That's good :) Are there any TNG-centric communities around? Once I finish that, Sci Fi will most likely show Voyager again, then Enterprise, but I have no way of seeing TOS or DS9... so some parts of fandom will just go straight over my head.

ont_tng is wonderful and pretty active! There's also a sizable presence on tumblr, if you're on there. All filled with lovely creative people.

And I'd really encourage you to try to find a way to see DS9! If you liked TNG, you'll love it.
