I'm more saddened by the lack of love Dom/Leo get in the Inception fandom.

And god I'm not looking forward to the A/E explosion again.

All of this forever. I adored Dom and the way he was largely ignored in the fandom was one of the reasons I left it.

And even though I started fandom actually liking Arthur/Eames, I got burnt out on it. There was just SO MUCH, and it seemed like there was barely anything else in comparison, and I just got bored and frustrated with the repetitiveness.

Anon, are you me? This was my whole issue with the fandom too. To me Dom is such a complicated, interesting character, but he got tossed away for the pretty.

and yeah, I used to like A/E too, but the fandom ended up making me just want to run away screaming from it.

Ahaha, he got tossed away for the pretty. Well to me Leo IS the pretty, but hey...different strokes and all that. XD

I was actually prompting like crazy on the kink meme and I eventually got so annoyed with A/E I started hoping no one would fill my old prompts. And when they did I would still comment and be friendly like usual, but it was a chore. Which makes me sound like the worlds biggest dick but...I just really really am not interested in that pairing whatsoever now.

I actually think this is the first time that's ever happened to me.

To me Dom is such a complicated, interesting character, but he got tossed away for the pretty.

But Dom is pretty. Much prettier than Hardy and Gordon-Levitt and Leo's character had more depth than their characters combined. I just don't get it. *shrugs*

I'm more saddened by the lack of Yusuf or Yusuf/Ariadne love. I didn't really like Dom all that much (Leo was amazing in the role though), but while I ship A/E I certainly understand the feeling of "why is all the focus on them?". Like one of the other anons, I think it helped the fandom burnout I've felt for months now.

There is so much potential in the characters, every single one of them. And most of the time it feels like that's ignored. I want more on all the other characters, not just the pretty boys. (Also, A/E fangirls' obsession with seeing all of TH and JGL's other work and crossover shipping all of their other characters irks the hell out of me, and is vaguely unsettling besides. D:)

For me, shipping's about the characters, not the faces/bodies. But then, I don't write smut generally, so maybe I'm missing the point?

I've noticed; a lot of my flist from my Inception heyday are now XMFC. The movie pulled me semi-back into X-Men fandom... but I do my best to ignore the crossover fics.

Dom just kinda bored me. Leo acted well in the movie but I just don't think he's aging attractively. I preferred his youthful looks. I don't find Tom Hardy or Gordon to be all that attractive physically (although Gordon is better than Tom) but I find their characters to be substantially more interesting. I'm always more interested in criminal characters like Eames and anal-rententive type characters like Arthur.

There's still more Dom than Saito though. I just really wish there was more Saito in fic; esp. paired w/either Arthur or Eames; Dom is good w/Saito too. Saito is just so damned attractive.....

Oh man, I agree. \: I don't even love Leo all that much (Not that I hate him! But he's just never been my favorite actor, as talented as he is.) but after seeing Inception I totally get it. Fandom and their lack of love for him/Dom really disappointed me.
