I bet. Still I refuse to buy this totally lame excuse fur defenders use considering none of those farm animals are "skinned alive." You have to admit, even though dying sucks, there are levels of cruelty that are simply abhorrent, especially when it's for a douchey fashion statement.

I bet you wouldn't like being surprised at dinner by a lion, running until your heart gave out, and then being choked to death while other lions started to eat you alive. For a gazelle herd? That's Tuesday.

Nature is kind of nasty. We're a part of nature. 's why I've got zero guilt about eating meat.

As an intelligent species and one of very few how understand the concept of guilt, that excuse doesn't fly unless you're a neanderthal. Eat it all you want, but justifying it with "it's nature" is flimsy at best and retarded at worst.

So it's only wrong if we're capable of rationalizing that it's wrong? A lioness taking down a gazelle is causing just as much (if not more) pain to that gazelle as a human hunter with a rifle. The gazelle is no more or less dead either way.

Also,
"As an intelligent species" -- plenty of species are incredibly intelligent and still eat other animals.

"one of very few how understand the concept of guilt" -- makes it sound like guilt is a universal constant that you just have to have an adept enough mind to tap into, rather than a social construct that is learned and dependent on an animal's society. Someone today might feel guilty about wearing leather or fur; it wouldn't have crossed their mind 50, 100, 1000 years ago.

Is there a better way to kill animals for food that is cost-effective? You do know that animals killed that way die in a matter of seconds, and it's the most humane way to slaughter an animals without spending shitloads of money, right?
