I'm kind of blown away by so many of the comments from people who just don't get it.

Yes, elephants, giraffes, manatees are all great. However, as majestic as our natural world is, it does not compare to a world filled with magic. Paragliding and visiting World Heritage Sites, while exciting, just isn't the same. It doesn't fill the yearning for these things that some people have.

What's so great about magic? We have science! We can make the dark light and fly through the air and build huge monuments and blow them up again. We can talk to people across the planet and see pictures of the past on screens.

If there's something you really want that science can't do yet... why don't you study it and make the impossible possible?

IMO that yearning is caused by a personal negative attitude about life and the world. Adventures are in your mind. If you make something exciting then it becomes exciting. Take that from someone who used to think like you do.
