Guess what? Not all sewing choices are made for the sake of 'looking slimmer' but what works best for the body type. I know that nothing I can say will really convince you that anything could work for this body type, but in my opinion that Peach made a very well-done costume that took her shape into account with the pattern.

And I'll just leave you with this, since accuracy seems to be such a big deal to you. Original Peach.
