Well you know what they say about good intentions...

I'd tone it down and just leave it to commenting on her fic occasionally. Then post on your sock puppet that you're really busy and might not be online much anymore.

This is my advice. People drift away from online/fandom all the time. Just slowly comment and talk to her less, and eventually disappear. Don't kill your puppet, whatever you do, but just fade away.

I agree with these posters. Just start to fade out the activity on your sockpuppet account, slowly disappear.
