I can't stand that G4 actually matched Skyrim against Skyward Sword for game of the year. Come on, Nintendo is obviously becoming irrelevant. There's way too much emphasis on motion controls, and there's barely any reason to own a Wii, considering how infrequent decent games are released for it.

I'm pretty sure if Skyward Sword wins, it'll just be from hordes of Nintendo fanboys voting for it. = /

I hear Xenoblade is really good but wonder if it will ever come out in the US

I also really want to play Last Story and blah blah Operation Rainfall blah (though I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of motion controls and the fact that Rune Factory Oceans doesn't have classic controller support irritates me even though I'm enjoying the game so far)

I tried playing Twilight Princess on the Wii, but my hands were too shaky for the icon on screen to fit onto the corresponding thing, so I gave up.

Honestly, the only time I ever use the Wii is when I go over to a friend's house, to play Brawl or Mario Kart. Games like that are mindlessly fun, a good ice-breaker if you haven't seen someone in a while, and they're easy to talk over. But the Wii as an actual gaming system? Eeeeh.

I like controllers that're actually shaped like controllers, you know? It's nice to have something like that between me and the game, rather than finicky motion things.

My hands shake a lot too, and it's kind of hard to sit close to the tv in my living room, so most of the games I play on the Wii use the classic controller. Honestly, the only game on the Wii I've played with motion controls where the controls weren't annoying for me was Wii Sports. There aren't a TON of great games for the Wii, but there were enough to justify me buying one (Fire Emblem and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom come to mind). I have never played a single Zelda game on the Wii, though

Of course I also plan on buying a PS3 after Christmas so I'm not one of those RARRR ONE CONSOLE OVER THE OTHER people (though I'll admit I never had any interest in owning an Xbox 360)

Xenoblade was actually confirmed (http://tinycartridge.com/post/13678353233/u-s-trailer-for-xenoblade-chronicles-by-now) for US release a couple days ago.

It's looking to be a limited release, though, and so far it seems like you will only be able to buy it at Gamestop or directly through Nintendo.

So based on your personal belief that there is too much focus on motion controls and that there are very few decent (in your opinion) games released for the Wii, Nintendo as a company is becoming irrelevant? Rather than just the Wii console and anything else based on motion control (i.e. Playstation Move, X-box Kinect, etc.)? My love for Nintendo ~~and ire at Sony and Microsoft for various avoidable-and-yet-unfixed screw-ups this console cycle~~ aside, I'm not sure I understand your logic here.

You're clearly not biased AT ALLLL. :B Bethesda is great (when they're not injecting bugs in every crevice it can), but so is Nintendo. 'Irrelevant' won this current console gen, so clearly people disagree with you.
