Not familiar with this series but this Ciel character sounds like a douche and I am not understanding what the appeal of a character like this would be? Does she have any redeeming qualities?

Eh, I like him, but I tend to like douche-ass characters. The appeal for most is probably that he's a cute brat with a tragic past, I guess. And he's nice to a few characters, so some fans like to gloss over his douchery. I think most of the characters in Kuroshitsuji are kind of douches, though.

He as awesome clothes. He also crossdresses in story in a lovely dress and I think there are a few official artworks with him in other lovely dresses.

More or less he has awesome clothes and he's the type of douche you like to read about but wouldn't ever actually want to have to deal with in real life.
