I know what you mean but something similar happened to me once. I was reading some RPF once and suddenly had an idea for an original story. But I made the mistake of not trying to figure out names for the characters right away and just kept calling them "celeb 1" and "celeb 2" in my head. By the time I was really in the heart of the writing process I had pretty much incepted myself because no other name felt right after calling them one thing for so long and I was truly screwed. >_> It wasn't supposed to be RPF, the characters were nothing like the celebs in questions apart from some basic physical characteristics because I was casting it like a movie pretty much. Sometimes it's not about the audience.

Ah, true. I have that habit with writing, I give something a "placeholder name" until I think of a better one, and then over time the sucky placeholder name becomes the actual name because I'm so used to it.
