Sorry if that's not polite or whatever but HIMYM would be more tolerable if it had substance over predictable stupidity. And diversity. It's Friends all over again.

Different anon. Yep, HIMYM pretty much ran it's course already. I'd much rather have 2 more seasons of community then 2 more seasons of HIMYM. I just want them to introduce the mother and be done with it.

Alison Brie is fine where she is, being crazy little Annie. If anything, more of her on Mad Men.

Doesn't seem like America agrees since HIMYM would be ashamed to repeat at the level of Community's first-run episodes.

It's not uncommon for a show to be slow during the first 3 seasons, and then become a hit.

First of all no, Community should not be canceled.

Second of all that really has no baring on who ends up being the mother because HIMYM is not going to introduce her for a LONG WHILE and with the way the series has been, it's not like she'd ever be a main character and she might even only be in a few episodes or maybe even one, so it's entirely possible they could get an actress from another show if the scheduling worked out.

But come on OP, that's a dumb reason to hope for something that other people are fearing. Let us have our Community and we'll see who the mother is some day.

She can be the mother and still be on Community. We're not going to meet the mother until the last episode of HIMYM.

Is that confirmed? I'm not doubting you, I was just kind of hoping we'd see Ted and the mother date and the series would end with them getting married or something... I know it's more poetic and dramatic and stuff to have it end when he meets their mother, but... idk, I like Ted a lot and I want to see him be with his soulmate enough for me to ship them.

Really? I get the feeling they're trying to put off meeting the mother because its been built up for ages. Community would've had its 4th season by then ( I mean 6th season and a movie).
OT but does anyone else find HIMYM is a weird show premise? If my dad sat down and was telling me things like that I would feel uncomfortable. Especially if he had a friend like Barney.

Yeah. I still watch it, but some of the really sex-oriented episodes really creep me out. Not that I think talking about sex with your kids is a bad thing, but there's a difference between a question and answer session and telling your kids about the time you had a threesome with two women you picked up in a bar. I know I wouldn't want to hear a similar story from my mother, and I likewise keep the dirty details about my love life from her.
