What is this?

Uzumaki

It's a horror manga called 'Uzumaki'. Pretty popular, even.

It is sort of sweet. A little weird, but sweet.

I don't know the series, but I'd like to find out -- I can actually, you know, tell all of those men apart from each other because they aren't all pretty pretty.

OP, are you one of the two members that aren't me? Maybe contributing to the community and showing it to your friends might help? It's easier to get another fandom-y person to watch a new series, than to get a non-fandom type to join in with fandom!

I had a similar thought except it was: No Welcome to the N.H.K.? Or is that too obvious x 1000?

I kinda... shipped it. But then decided it was a little too far from my own comfort zone. I mean, it could have been rape for all I know. So I dunno if I find it kinda-almost-sweet or revolting.

Yes, although the original ending of EVA is more like Anno reaching out to the audience rather than critiquing or judging them.

I never really saw Eva as a critique of its audience, if anything it panders to fans of that genre. It's more a deconstruction of the super robot genre than anything

Were they still sentient at that point? I thought them mating was just acting on instinct.
