Maybe there's something you'd really like to see but you can't find it. Why not ask for help? It might be out there! Or maybe there's something you really loved reading and you want someone to geek over it with. Why not rec it to someone else? Maybe they'll love it too! Who knows, someone out there might be looking for something that sounds exactly like someone you know just created.

Don't feel bad about reccing your own stuff, either. Apparently someone else wants to see it, right?

You've probably read this already, but here:

CocoaCoveredGod's Redeemer Series (http://anime.adultfanfiction.net/authors.php?no=1296867228). It is the best Death Note fic I've ever read. Not only is it super long, but it's plotty and well-written! If I could marry this fic and have its babies, I would.
Summary: The story takes place after Death Note ends, although the main characters have not died. Here the Yellowbox Warehouse is essentially the pinnacle of L's 6-year long offensive against Kira, who believes L to be dead, when he really isn't.

Summary: Light has 13 days to find out how it will feel, not just to kill, but to destroy.

Summary: Summary: Upon recovering his memories of Kira, Raito has a terrible choice to make. What he does choose throws him into a realm of insanity and suddenly it's the God of the New World that needs the rescuing-and L is the only one who can help.

Forced to divert his attention away from the Kira case and towards the new developing worldly crisis, L brings the soft and uncalculating Light Yagami with him to the UK. There, things change.

Drowning properly was an art, one that Light had long perfected after the murder of his friend and finding the Death Note, but a chance moment leaves Light struggling to breath as he stumbles his way through a decade long conspiracy. And then there's L.
**This doesn't start off too well, but it gets better.

Summary: A new deathnote. A new plan for world sanctity. And an entirely misled Catholic clergy. Raito and L take their respective places on the sides of their own justice. A final battle waged in the Garden of Eden.

LOL Durarara. I came out of that series shipping Kida and Mikado like a girl possessed and was surprised as hell at all the Shizaya.

...lolol this forever. I went in expecting to be all over the Shizaya considering the way fandom advertised it and came out with hearts in my eyes over Kida/Mikado.

and idk if this fits the bill (and it's an older series too) but Ouran Host Club had some pretty slashy under(over?)tones, especially with the side characters. Plus there's a lot of good fic in that department. And totally seconding/thirding/fourthing Yami no Matsuei because it did the whole emotional subtlety in the relationship between the characters with a whole lot of depth, and I don't think I've seen much of that until No. 6 came along.

I wish I had a better contribution to this (and I will be tracking this, because hot damn would I love some good Misfits fic!) but here (http://misfitskink.livejournal.com/790.html?page=1&view=27926#comments) is a link to the dead kink meme for your perusal. As I recall it had some decent stuff in there. (And if I may be an absolutely shameless self promoter for a second, because why not, I also wrote a Simon-centric fic (http://thewordweaves.livejournal.com/3365.html#cutid1) for it with spoilers for the end of series one, though of course I won't be offended if you choose not to check it out)

I know of one really good Yashiro/Ren fic. It's set in the Dark Moon story arc and still a WIP (6 chapters so far) with a slow but steady update rate.
