PANFANDOM REC MEME

"I ship it!"
"I want fic!"
"I want art!"
"I don't care what it is, but I want it!"
"Where's the fandom?"

Rec meme! You ask for recs, and others provide (or fill!).

Maybe there's something you'd really like to see but you can't find it. Why not ask for help? It might be out there! Or maybe there's something you really loved reading and you want someone to geek over it with. Why not rec it to someone else? Maybe they'll love it too! Who knows, someone out there might be looking for something that sounds exactly like someone you know just created.

Don't feel bad about reccing your own stuff, either. Apparently someone else wants to see it, right?

OBLIGATORY TEXTBOX (optional, dont worry):

Regular post will be up soon!

So this isn't a request for fanworks, but I hope it is still okay to ask here?

Can anybody maybe rec me a good fantasy TV-Show that is currently airing? With maximum one or two seasons to catch up on? I like everything from Urban Fantasy to classic medival setting with more or less fantasy-elements.

Have you tried Merlin?

[identity profile] ypsilon42.livejournal.com 2011-12-10 11:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah... I watched season 1 and 2, but lost intrest during the beginning of 3, because I was frustrated that every episode felt the same to me. =/ Fart jokes, nobody knowing about Merlin being magic, Athur's character development being reseted, etc...

Did something change since then?

No, it hasn't.

You could try A Game of Thrones, although it doesn't start airing again until the spring.

I am currently waiting for season 2! ^^

About Being Human: The British one or the American one? (The British one, probably, right?)

Anyway, Thanks for the rec.

Comment jumping, but in my opinion, they're both quite good for totally different reasons. I prefer the characters in the British version, but the writing in the American version is way better. Probably because they figured out how to fix the flaws in the British version's stories, lol.

I am enjoying both Grimm and Once Upon a Time, Grimm a little bit more, though.

Ditto to this. Grimm is a little darker, sort of a crime-series with a supernatural twist. Once Upon a Time reminds me most of The 10th Kingdom, if you ever saw that (and if you haven't, you should).
