It's like how some married women suddenly chop their hair medium/short because they don't have to worry about attracting a guy anymore. My hair is for myself.. and I just happen to like really long hair. Does that make me less smart and more slutty? Uhh no. Sad people assume things about you because of hair length

Usually, Elena = straight hair, Katherine = wavy~, but with all the switches and the characters acting kind of similar lately, it's just really hard to tell sometimes.
If they're going to have three characters that look identical, one of them having short hair would make it easier to tell them apart.
