I don't watch that show but I've written a couple of older slash pairings and it was really fun! (These guys were older than the ones in the secret too, from the look of it.)

(The funnest part was using background information I got from my dad for one of them. When I told him it was a slash fic he laughed.)

I right there with you. I recently (read: yesterday) poked around ff.net for Criminal Minds fic. "Surely there will be Hotch/Rossi fics everywhere," I thought. "They are adorable together." And yet, there just . . . isn't. It's so easy to ship them! Why aren't there fics? I don't understand.

I know! They're totally BFFs and have such a great dynamic and yet there are, what, ten Hotch/Rossi fics worth reading? So not fair. D: So, yeah, bitter!me blames the lack of fic on the lack of Reid in that ship since apparently he's the only character worth fangirling about on the show.

Yay! Criminal Minds secret! Reid/Hotch/Prentiss is my preferred Hotch ship, but I love Rossi/Hotch, too! I adored Gideon/Hotch back in the day, though, so it's not just you who digs the "old guy" slash. :3

That's what I came here to say. O_o I don't ship Hotch and Rossi personally (but believe me, I can totally see why people do), but they're not what I would call "old guys", and more to the point, there's nothing wrong with shipping people who aren't 20/30-something pretty boys.
