(Anonymous) 2011-12-18 02:22 am (UTC)(link)I don't know. I think I might have liked the sort of procedural format that died after four or five years (total, not after the angels and demons bit) better than what we have now because I've never really liked Supernatural's character development.

I've heard people complain that it's too negative, that the show's basically one huge downward spiral, and it's hard to argue with that.

When I last watched (which was some time ago, mind), Sam and Dean's personalities had essentially switched except Dean's manpain was upped to eleven. They didn't seem like the same characters I had grown to like in the beginning and I thought the overarching storyline was ridiculously stupid, so I gave up on the show. I mean, it made sense given the context of what had happened to them, but I just didn't like Sam or Dean anymore.
