I never understood how breaking up Arthur and Gwen was supposed to help Morgana, either. If you don't want Gwen to become queen, just kill Arthur, FFS.

i know right? if i were morgana i would've just had lancelot shank arthur out of nowhere, then lancelot would've been executed but surprise he's already dead, goodnight sweet cheekbones flight of angels etc etc

of course then there wouldn't be a show, so

i just hate inefficient villains!!! merlin y u so full of them
