There's a difference in noting that you're non-human but still earthly, than noting that you're alien/god. We simply don't know enough about aliens/gods to have the references needed to point that out, while we do know enough about the other life-forms on this planet to be able to know. Differentiation between human and humanoid wouldn't be something normal past-life experiences would meet.

The OP was pretty specific about missing other humanoid non-humans. Missing home isn't that complex, but missing others of yourself requires a depth of knowledge about what you were, what was the culture, how distant you are from that would require more than a flashback.

I didn't get "humanoid" out of the secret; I took it to mean that they look human now (meaning were born human in this life) but believe they have a non-human soul. To be fair, they didn't say if that soul was earthly or non earthly or what, just that they missed their "own kind" (which does imply some sort of sapient being, but still they're not specific). I'm not going to guess whether they mean a vague sense of loss or a specific missing of people and culture or what sort of non-human being they're talking about, my point was that they're hardly alone in believing they have a non-human soul, and believing that doesn't require any sort of special enlightenment. Regressing to a past life memory of something that isn't human would be pretty noticeable.

I did get that though. They said they know what it's like to look human and miss their own kind, as if it were happening at the same time and looking human was as far as their humanity went. From that, there aren't any earthly non-human look-alikes that we know. You have to be able to extrapolate something from the secrets we get, and I wasn't making an unreasonable assumption based on their wording, especially since I specifically implied that it was how I read it.

Also, I never said that believing they were non-human was the issue, so I'm honestly not sure where you got that. I said that I doubt they were able to specifically miss their other non-humans from an impression and I've never heard of aliens as a possible reincarnation.
