Riiiiight there with you... Well, I still listen to their songs, including solo stuff, but I can't really stand to follow news about them because it upsets me. Don't think I'll ever get over it, tbh.

The two lead singers from the post-punk English band, The Libertines, Carl Barat and Pete Doherty. They used to be borderline-romance close and made the most amazing fucking music together, but drugs got in the way and they broke up.

Knowing how it all ended, it still hurts every time I hear "Can't Stand Me Now", because that song is almost their whole relationship in a nutshell ;_;

I get how you feel OP. It's kind of hard for me to listen to them as much as I used to, partially for personal reasons and partially because of how things ended between Pete and Carl. I kind of feel like my idealism died with their corporate reunion. They'll always be my favourite band though. I'm getting a quote from The Good Old Days as a tattoo soon.
