ugh I love those books, and the coverart on those versions, and now I want to read them again.

I had a conversation with my older sister, who introduced me to these books as a kid, not too long ago, and we both had forgotten the title and author of this series. She actually seemed to believe I dreamt the whole series up. Huh.

All I had to go on was chocolate mousse, kickass princess, and hanging out dragons, but I couldn't put a title to it.

It's a humorous children's/YA fantasy series with a parodic take on fairy tales. I read them about a hundred times as a kid. The Claudia Black love comes from growing up and falling for Farscape, of course ;)

LOVED THIS SERIES as a kid .. although I think I stopped reading when it was like .. about her kids or something .. and I got over it. But maybe it could be animated and she could do the voice. :P

Yeah, I never really liked the way the fourth book went. It was years before I found out it was a weird case of Doomed By Canon. Apparently the last book was written and published long before the first three, but it's the "prequel" that really took off for readers.

Oh my God, I LOVED these books as a kid. I read them religiously from like, 4th to 6th grade. All of my copies are at home, and I still love them so much. Telemain, ♥ forever.

Cimorean is easily still the most kick ass female character in pretty much any book I've read. Her and Kazul.
