I thought Saffron was generally well-liked.

And she totally would have been a recurring character, occasionally teaming up with the crew.

That's what I think; she'd be the one they'd occasionally see again (a la Trash) and be like "ugh, YoSaffBridge, what are you doing here?" and it would have been glorious. :/

Yeah, totally agree. Didn't she pop up in two separate episodes? Considering how short the show's run was, I think that says a lot about her being set up as a recurring character.

That absolutely would have happened. I thought that was the whole point of her being in two eipsodes of Firefly - given the disgustingly low number of episodes it got, that MEANS something, gorramit.

And really, doesn't the majority of the fandom like YoSaffBridge?

Saffron's episode was so uncomfortable to watch because I could not get over how obvious it was that Whedon wrote it one-handed. of all his fap-fantasy female characters, Saffron was the most transparent, especially after she turned into yet another cliche seductress-slash-badass.

Whedon's creepy fetishization gives me the creeps at the best of times, but after 'Our Mrs. Reynolds' I seriously needed a goddamn shower.

YoSaffBridge was great! And Christina Hendricks is so luminous in that picture you choose. I don't think she's ever been prettier.

I love YoSaffBridge so much! I actually didn't really get into Firefly until "Our Mrs Reynolds" and that is still one of my favourite episodes (despite the number that they got, it's still so hard to choose a fav though!).

And yeah, she was definitely meant to be recurring, since she already WAS. I also would like to think that Jubal would have appeared again too, you don't leave him alive and not do something with it.
