Oh, I agree with the better standing thing, because I think it's silly to compare ships at all.
But otherwise...why do you care? With a bit of imagination (which is pretty much what fandom is about), one can easily explore the possible dynamics of two people, even if they barely met. Also, I don't know, I'm a bit uncomfortable with everyone assuming that two men are straight unless they explicitly state it *shrug*.

TY, that was driving me crazy. Canon interest in women states canon interest in women, it doesn't mean the character is not also interested in men. I'm not saying it's the case here, but I'm so fucking sick of assholes arguing it like bisexuals do not exist.
