I guess that makes sense. Having seen how vicious fans can get about shipping/not-shipping, or generally liking, polarizing characters in Homestuck, I should have seen this coming. Granted, I barely show up in the WD comms here, so I have no idea if it's as bad as the secret implies (shipping-wise. have already seen people blow their lid over Shane for and against him).

It's just that the material for the show seems so sterile, imo, to produce much fanwork for, much less enough to incite shipping wars. Especially with Glenn/Daryl basically being such a crack OTP.

Yeah, that's what I see. Some shows have so little going on in the way of character interaction and character development, I don't get shipping on them. But I find that shows with the least character interaction/development tend to have some of the strongest non-canon ships because they play off of What Could Be as opposed to What Is.

I think that's it too. People get so defensive because any pairing is plausible at this point. x_x I've never been AFRAID to ship something, but this fandom makes me afraid that I ship CarolxDaryl now. D=
