Oh lol, me and the BF are sort of the other way around. He's a gigantic fanboy and as much as themes are fun to deconstruct, it's a LOT of fun when we share the same ship to squee over (and he's not all that adverse to slash, even if he avoids fanfic like the plague hahaha).
