I would agree with this being unrealistic had I not recently watched a video about violent college marching band hazing, where so many people thought they would be the ones to stop the cycle only to reach the point here the could and then...not.

Yeah, I'm not saying it doesn't happen. (Especially considering the fucked up situation he grew up with.) I guess I just liked to think Eric was better than that.
