Woah, where did I say I agreed with anyone? I think Magneto and Xavier are two of the most immoral characters in X-Men. It's just that Magneto's way of doing things usually gives people a chance to fight. I assumed that Magneto becoming an almost exact copy of the people he hated most was a given flaw.

The other X-Men movies don't show the Xavier of the comics, where he is a much less moral man and uses his power along a code that shifts all the time. That's what I find off-putting: Xavier's belief in a strong moral code but inability to hold fast to that code. Magneto's code is black and white: you are a mutant and with me or you are against me.

I am talking about only Xavier or Magneto from First Class - cause frankly, same characters in FC, in comics, oin different storylines of comics, in Singer movies, or Ratner movie - all of them are different characters. I don't see how it's possible to judge those characters on the basis of things they did in different universes.
And when I look at those storylines separately, it's pretty incredible to hear that Xavier of First Class is a worse person than Magneto of a First Class. He is far from perfect, course, but it's just a different level.
And excuse me, if someone will ask me what to chose in the situation when poor irrelevant human little me somehow ended up on the way of those powerful mutatnts - to lose a few memories or end up with a knife I stuck in my own gut, like this russian soldier in the deleted scenes of the movie, it's going to be a really easy choice.
