God, that song just slayed me to the core. And I know there's some tittering about a possible Galadriel/Gandalf romance from the clips shown, but I was just fascinated by her being taller than him and looking at him in a "you're so young for all this pain" kind of way, almost maternally. It really drives home her age (especially after reading The Silmarillion) and her power.
…also, Fili is one very fine dwarf.

Galadriel my flawless queen (I HAVEN'T read The Silmarillion yet, to my shame) I AM JUST DYING FOR HER AND GANDALF TO INTERACT, I LITERALLY GIVE NO FUCKS WHAT THEY ACTUALLY SAY - like, I DO, but I have no preference at ALL what kind of relationship it turns out to be, I just want to see it
man, I am going through palpitations from how fine I'm finding some of these dwarves. Fili and Kili are either hot or adorable, Thorin is a FOX, and a secret dark-horse crush I might be brewing is Bofur. LOOK AT THIS GANGSTA IN HIS SAMURAI HAT

Only one thing: Isn't Gandalf older than Galadriel? She's just an elf from the first age (one of the more unimpressive ones at that, given that all she did was hang around, look pretty, and marry Celeborn before going all bizarrely conquistador in the Second Age), and he's an Istari, which means he's a Maiar, and therefore existed literally since the beginning of time. Because he's one of God's thoughts. (Short version: I'm a Silmarillion geek who think that that fact makes LOTR/Hobbit epic times more interesting and needs to mention it any time it's misstated. Because Gandalf-god is hilarious.)
